The prototype completed its maiden flight in spring 1935 with a 477 kWE Rolls-Royce Kestrel engine. The last of more than 5700 JU 87 was delivered in September 1944.
With his Ju 87G, Hans-Ulrich Rudel destroyed 519 Soviet tanks. Ju 87C-1 aircraft were built for the Graf Zeppelin aircraft carrier. Ju 87 flew in Italy, Hungary, Slovakia, Romania and Bulgaria.
